(August 3, 2012) \u2013 National Championship Gaming (NCGpro.com), in partnership with GameStop (GameStop.com), announces one of the South’s largest gaming events of the year, the NCG “3 Day Bash” (3DayBash.com), which will be host to 14 tournaments August 17-19 at the Fox and Hound of Winston-Salem. Featured games include Modern Warfare 3, Gears of War 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, FIFA, Madden, NBA2K, Goldeneye, Mortal Kombat, UFC 3, WWE 12, Dance Central 2, Mario Kart, and Super Smash Brothers Brawl.<\/p>\n
More than 40 big screen LED televisions, along with plenty of Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii entertainment systems, will set the stage for the final day dubbed as “Championship Sunday.” An estimated $11,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the winners of this massive three-day event, including trophies, pro gaming medals, and collectible gaming memorabilia provided by Epic Games. Epic Games Multiplayer Designer Quinn DelHoyo, a familiar face in the Gears of War 3 community, will attend the Bash on Saturday, August 18 to sign autographs and mingle with players.<\/p>\n
The 3 Day Bash is expected to draw more than 500 amateur and pro gamers from New York to Texas. Marque tournaments, which include the 4v4 Modern Warfare 3 and the 2v2 Gears of War 3 showdowns, will harness the excitement of two of the most popular multiplayer games on the market.
\nTickets to play in the tournaments are available now at www.eTix.com, and the 3 Day Bash will be broadcast online at TwitchTV (Twitch.tv) starting at 9 a.m. EDT on August 17 on the NCGpro channel. The entire event will be streamed live worldwide, including the awards ceremony on Sunday, August 19 at 4 p.m. EDT.<\/p>\n
